Privacy Policy

StockSense ("the App") provides low stock alerts and inventory forecasting for Shopify stores. This policy describes what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices available to merchants.

Information we collect

When you install the App, we access the following through the Shopify API, strictly to provide the service:

• Store information: store name, myshopify domain, and the store owner email (used as the default alert recipient).
• Product and inventory data: product titles, variants, and inventory levels, used to evaluate thresholds and send alerts.
• Order aggregates: sales quantities from the last 30 days, used solely to calculate sales velocity for the stockout forecast. We do not store order details.
• Settings you provide: thresholds and alert email addresses.

The App does not collect, store, or process your customers' personal information. We do not use cookies or tracking technologies on merchant storefronts.

How we use information

• To send low stock alert emails and daily digests to the addresses you configure.
• To display your at-risk inventory and forecasts inside the App.
• To provide support when you contact us.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Service providers

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to operate the App: cloud hosting for the application and database, and Resend for transactional email delivery. These providers process data only on our behalf and as needed to provide the service.

Data retention and deletion

When you uninstall the App, we delete your store's data from our systems. You can also request deletion at any time by writing to support@usestocksense.com.

The App implements Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and responds to them as required.

Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to production systems is restricted and webhook requests are verified using Shopify's HMAC signatures.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
